Our medical team is invested in providing the best care to your pets. We offer a full range of veterinary services from surgery to grooming.
A wide range of surgical procedures are available for your pet at Weathered Rock Vet Clinic. We offer soft tissue surgeries such as spays/neuters, hernia repairs, exploratory surgery and more. We also provide orthopedic surgical services including fracture repair with IM pins, femoral head and neck osteotomies, and lateral suture for cranial cruciate ligament ruptures.
Periodontal disease contributes to oral pain. Dental infection can spread to other areas of the body. With sedation, we can provide deep cleaning with an ultrasonic scaler to remove plaque and tartar. Teeth are then polished with doggie-safe toothpaste. Our patients do great with this procedure and go home the same day!
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pets' comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client with the option of cremation. If your pet is stressed coming to the clinic, we can offer at home euthanasia.
Regular bathing and grooming are important to keep your pets looking their very best. We offer a wide variety of grooming services including bathing, medicated baths, pedicures and shears. Standard and custom cuts are available with our groomer, Ann. We take great pride in Ann's talent, care, and patience. This results in a positive grooming experience for your pet. Be sure to book your appointment in advance as her schedule fills quickly.
We are proud of our clinical laboratory that allows us to obtain important results for your pet in a hurry. On-site laboratory equipment includes complete blood counts (CBC), serum chemistry, electrolytes, phenobarbital, cortisol and thyroid. We can test for many specific diseases such as feline leukemia, FIV, canine parvovirus, ehrlichiosis, lyme disease, canine heartworms, urinalysis and microscopic stool exams.
HomeAgain® Microchip Implants
We encourage permanent identification of your pet with the HomeAgain® microchip. A sterile microchip is easily injected under your pet's skin and contains an ID number that can be used to trace it back to you. Scanners are commonly used by animal control officers, shelters and veterinary clinics to identify lost pets with microchips.
We offer a climate controlled boarding area for those times when it's just not possible to take your pet with you. Canine boarders are walked outside at least twice daily. Feline boarders are provided a spacious cage for their stay. We will gladly manage medications for pets that require prescribed medications on a daily basis.
*For the benefit and protection of all a negative fecal exam and proof of certain vaccines are required. Our staff will review these requirements with you when making a boarding reservation.
