Services

Our medical team is invested in providing the best care to your pets.  We offer a full range of veterinary services from surgery to grooming.

Surgery
A wide range of surgical procedures are available for your pet at Weathered Rock Vet Clinic. We offer soft tissue surgeries such as spays/neuters, mass removal,  hernia repairs, exploratory surgery and more. We also provide orthopedic surgical services including fracture repair, femoral head and neck osteotomies, and lateral suture for cranial cruciate ligament ruptures.

Dermatology

Do you have an itchy dog?  Does your dog have bald patches or brown debris in his ears all the time?  Does he smell even after a bath?  Well, he may have Canine Atopic Dermatits which is treatable with medications.  Allergies are one of the most common and frequently treated conditions in dogs we see.  They often lead to paw licking, scooting, and hair loss, along with skin and ear infections.  We can help these pups feel so much better!

Behavioral Consultation

We work with dogs and cats from homes and shelters to modify their environment, training and, if necessary, medications to manage fear and anxiety that have become severe enough to impact the pet's comfort at home or traveling.

Dentistry
Periodontal disease is very common in dogs older than two.  If your pet has stinky breath, they likely need their teeth professionally cleaned!  Dental disease contributes to oral pain and infection which can spread to other areas of the body. With sedation, we can provide deep cleaning with an ultrasonic scaler to remove plaque and tartar. Teeth are then polished with doggie-safe toothpaste.  Our patients do great with this procedure and go home the same day!

Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their dog or cats' comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client with the option of cremation.  If your pet is stressed coming to the clinic, we can offer at-home euthanasia services.

On-Site Laboratory
We are proud of our clinical laboratory that allows us to obtain important results for your pet in a hurry. On-site laboratory equipment includes complete blood counts (CBC), serum chemistry, electrolytes, phenobarbital, cortisol and thyroid. We can test for many specific infections such as feline leukemia, FIV, canine parvovirus, ehrlichiosis, lyme disease, canine heartworms.  We get our urinalysis and microscopic stool exam results in minutes.

Microchip Implants
We encourage permanent identification of your pet with microchipping. A sterile microchip is easily injected under your pet's skin and contains an ID number that can be used to trace it back to you.  Scanners are commonly used by animal control officers, shelters and veterinary clinics to identify lost pets with microchips.
